Staff was welcoming and helpful greeting us at curb to help with luggage. Room was spacious with separate door/room for bathroom which was nice. Large bathroom and shower. Pillows great on bed. Spectacular view of the water. Location was quiet. Was a bit further from airport than envisioned, but no issue with 4:30am Bolt other than high price for prebooking to ensure had transportation. Metro is nearby.
Empire Lisbon Hotel is located near Lisbon's center and is just 10 minutes away from Alameda Metro Station.

Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Stayed one night prior to our flight departure, and it was more than adequate for this purpose. Room was clean, beds and pillows were fine, shower felt great, and breakfast was good. A fairly short drive to the airport, depending on traffic of course.

Built on seven hills facing the Tagus River, charming Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world. It showcases unique tram rides, intimate Fado performances, great dining venues and much more.
The city is famous for its districts: Belem's famous monuments; Alfama's labyrinth of streets, bars and small shops; and trendy Alcantara's docks. Lisbon’s most popular nightlife and shopping venues are in Bairro Alto, while the traditional heart of the city beats rhythmically in Baixa.
Enjoy a walk through Jardim Botanico, admire the architecture of the Jeronimos Monastery or explore the Feira da Ladra flea market. The Chiado area serves the city's best traditional Portuguese cuisine. No meal is complete without the famous pasteis de nata!
Getting to the city center is only a metro or bus ride from Lisbon Portela Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel, a friendly guesthouse or a cozy apartment, Booking.com has plenty of accommodations for your vacation in Lisbon.

Lisbon has retained much of the old world charm from 200 years ago. The decorative paving along most city sidewalks and in plazas references the history and geography of this hilly city. The core of the city is peppered with historic sites and neighbourhoods that are easily accessed and explored on foot and by tram, train and metro. Visitor services such as pedestrian elevators, funiculars and stairways facilitate the exploration, and numerous eateries provide convenient, picturesque places to rest and enjoy the views. The half hour walk down Avenida de Liberdade toward the Praça do Comércio at the waterfront was a favourite stroll for taking in the modern to the historic sights, especially the lovely cobbled Praça Rossio.

Amazing city, lots of great sights near each other for a great extended weekend but equally we stayed 6 days and could have stayed a couple longer! Fun (if steep) old cobbled streets to wander, beautiful views and amazing history - we especially enjoyed Sintra, the tile museum and walking the coast of cascais.

Loved staying in Bairro Alto with easy access to sights and restaurants. Did not expect the Disney World size crowds at major tourist sites in mid-May. The lines at the Jeronimos monastery were impossible. The Maritime Museum was less crowded and worth it, as well as the tile museum (take a Bolt there). Getting to Sintra was difficult due to lack of instructions in the railway station and long lines to defunct ticket machines. The train was overstuffed. Peña palace was way overcrowded but the steep hike down nice. When using Bolt in Sintra, beware you loose the connection with the server because of the hills and your driver won’t find you but you will get charged anyway with an extra wait fee.

We spent 5 full days in Lisbon and still didn’t see everything we wanted to see. It’s a great place for wandering, having coffee and pastries in a sidewalk cafe and people watching. A highlight was a day trip to Sintra. We also took a food tour which was a good introduction to Portuguese cuisine and culture well as a tour of the neighborhoods. We walked most everywhere but there are numerous trams and subway lines. Uber is commonly used as well.

We stayed for 2 nights and for us that was enough, we are not big city fans. We had a boat trip arranged through the accommodation that ended up just being the 2 of us on a yacht. We walked a lot of the places but some of the hills are steep. We did take a tuk-tuk ride but negotiated with the driver first and got 2.5 hrs for the price of 2. This was the best way of seeing the sights and getting information on places to visit, the driver stopped of at a couple of places to sightsee and waited for us then dropped us off near our accommodation. Tried to stay out of the tourist places and found it reasonable to eat and drink. We will go again as there as still some more things to see but again for only 2 days.
We had been warned about pickpockets so kept everything in zipped pockets and avoided the underground.
If you want cheap food and drinks try Kebab Ali's House, for the yacht ride look for Helcyon 1. We went to Canto do Poeta for the Fado night which included food and drinks.
I could not have been happier with my stay. Jessica at reception and the entire staff provided exceptional service. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Without a doubt, this is a professionally run hotel and it is where will stay again when I return to Lisbon in the near future. The service was impeccable. EVERYTHING about this place was great. The other thing that I loved about this place is how close it is situated to the Lisbon's METRO system. Absolutely the best - hated to leave. A big thank you to the entire staff.
Good value for your money-stay in Lisbon if you're looking for something a little bit better than a regular hotel. Everything was clean and all contact with staff went smoothly.
The best part, however, was the free shuttle service from the hotel to the city centre (semi-flexible on exact location). The driver, Raphael (might not be correctly spelled), was the perfect man for the job, and could answer questions on what to do in Lisbon and give fun facts and information about the city overall. Definitely worth a ride!
This hotel had everything I like: nice, stylish room, super comfy bed, up-to-date bathroom with fabulous shower and plenty of hot water, friendly and helpful staff, best gin and tonics in town at the bar, and marvelous food in the restaurant including one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve ever had. It was worth a lot more than I paid as travel isn’t quite back to normal yet. Also, convenient location to get anywhere in Lisbon. I took the train up the coast several days and it was easy.
Things you see online tend to be different when you come in person, but this was not the case with Exe Saldanha. Everything you see online is the same you will see when you check in. The hotel is very clean and the staff is polite and helpful. The location is probably the best possible especially if you are coming from the airport. The red metro line takes you all the way to the hotel and the remaining 3 lines intersect also there - so every part of Lisbon is a few minutes away.
One of the best hotels I visited in Europe.
Very friendly staff, the lady who greeted me late at night at my arrival gave me a quiet room just like I asked, with a view away from the main street.
Breakfast is very good and inclusive, from omelette with bacon to everything you could think of. Breakfast schedule is until 10:30 AM so great even if you are not a morning person.
A 10 minute car ride from the airport and 3 short metro stops away from the city centre.
Very nice hotel, seems to be newly renovated. Staff was helpful and friendly, at breakfast there was plenty to choose from, the rooms were spacious and comfortable.
It is not located near the city centre but there are lots of restaurants and shopping options nearby. Public transportation is also good in Lisbon, the metro station is 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel, the bus station is right in front of it. The airport is also easy to reach from the hotel
Nice spacious rooms. Bit outside of the city centre, but with the metro very close this is a perfect location for a Lisbon city trip. Comfortable beds.
No sound from outside. Which surprised me, as it's a busy street and aircraft fly really low over the hotel.
Easy reachable from the airport. I used the metro, which in hindsight was not even the best solution. Metro takes about 40 minutes, where the bus would take only 15.
My stay at Jardim da Lapa was one of the best hotel experience i’ve had, the boutique hotel has a unique character in one of the most beautiful and quiet neighborhoods in Lisbon.
What i loved the most about the place: the attention to detail, the most friendly staff, the atmosphere, the pool, the breakfast.
It is a perfect place for a solo traveller, a couple and also a family!
I will be back for sure :)
Honestly this is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Everything was brilliant. Location was amazing too, loved the avenue nearby and close to centre, metro, train station. The apartment had everything we could wish for, comfy beds and extremely quiet. If we ever visit Lisbon again we'll be staying here. Staff were extremely helpful. It's part of a 5 star hotel so the service was top level.
Absolutely best hostel ever. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time in hostel, in Lisbon and in Portugal.
They have dinner Events, pub crawl, fado, etc. They also gave us a guide for beaches on the West Coast. They als kept some of my stuff and I picked them up 2 weeks later when I returned to Lisbon, this was a huge help.
Everything went well. The hotel, accommodation and the staff were superb. I travel a few times a year and usually stay at the best 5 stars hotels. The stay at this one greatly exceeded my expectation. This was our first trip to Lisbon, Portugal and I have to say that my wife and I had a great stay. We do plan to visit Portugal again and do plan to stay at Lapa Palace hotel again.
Great location right in Lisbon City center, close to major sites and restaurants. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we’ve experienced, you get everything: breads, pastries, cakes, yogurt and fruit, juices, specialty coffee, charcuterie, cheese. The staff is amazing, hotel is very clean.
honestly? I have nothing bad to say. The staff is super nice the rooms are nice it’s a little tight but it’s a Boutique hotel what are you expect? The price reflect the location. All in all the restaurant was the best food we had had in Lisbon. i definitely recommend
Location was great and the hotel room was the best one from 3 different stays we had at this facility. We got the Castelo de Sao Jorge view from our window and a glance at the Lisbon coast. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Best location. Supercentral, metro is next to the hotel, airport is accessible via metro in 30-40 mins.
The building looks very pretty and the interior design is cool too. It was a pleasure to arrive here and to spend a short stay in Lisbon.
5 star service throughout and you’re treat like a VIP. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and can not fault the service of every single member we encountered. Hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing selection for breakfast.
Very clean, good facilities, excellent breakfast homemade and with very friendly staff. I could surely say it is a 4 or 5 star hotel without any doubt. I would come here for sure for a next stay in Lisbon.
Everything. The property is a genuine 5 star hotel. The whole check in to check out experience had nothg to conplain about. Best option for family in lisbon. the location is amazing facing the river.
During past years I have stayed in many hotels in Lisbon including 5 star, and this one is the best for me. Great location, very modern and clean, reasonable price. Coming back in a few days)
